WELCOME!
PLEASE REGARD THIS AS A FRIENDLY SITE .
This site is dedicated to the postage stamps of Great Britain issued during the reign of King Edward VIIth , 1902-1910. THE PRINTINGS/ISSUES SPAN THE YEARS 1902 TO 1913. In order to establish a fair buying or selling price for any GB Edward VIIth. stamp, my researches led me to create personal pricing lists. It is a considerable task to gather information from the many International sites, Public and Postal auctions, and Retail outlets {in the order of 5000+items per month} and so I expect to update the lists every 4 weeks. The range of Stanley Gibbons catalogue numbers for EDWARD VIIth extends from SG.215 to SG.320, with very many shades and printings, and considering the billions of stamps issued, there are still many items to discover! There are many pages to look at, so please read all of this page to see if I can help you in any way.
As far as possible my aim is to make this a more personalised forum for information, with potential for buying and selling, and offer help especially to novices in philately{young and old!}.
All the pages of information are available to view until MIDNIGHT ON 4TH JULY 2008 GMT, after which time, certain pages will become 'MEMBERS ONLY' because of the useful information and time/cost to obtain it!. Please see Membership Details below.
Your email feedback/comments on the site would be appreciated, as would requests and suggestions!
It is a fairly no frills site design, but at least everything should function!
The listings include the basic stamps in all conditions, sets, shades, controls, high values and so on, with further additions to be made progressively this year.
There is an abbreviations list at the head of each PRICING PAGE, and it does require familiarisation with use.
This descriptive method has been used to reduce the difficulties with long descriptions.
HELP WITH VALUEING A STAMP, SET OR COLLECTION OF EDWARD VIIth
Often the HOURLY quoted price charged by professionals to value a collection can be high, and public auction
costs combined with delays, make 'where to sell ' decisions difficult. Notwithstanding that there are quite a few 'below-decent-standard' items for sale on the many evolving Internet sites.
The prices in the tables are as up to date as physically possible and so it should be possible to ascertain a fairly accurate price for your stamp or collection. As time progresses the summaries will obviously increase in breadth and depth, hopefully with much of interest. Remember that many dealers will offer fair prices, but any offer will ALWAYS be lower than market price to enable them to operate profitably and professionally.. If you need help with finding a stamp/s, valuation, selling an item or any other matter, please contact me, Martin Wood using the following link, helpatfiddlers , with details of your requirements.
